I love bread. I consider it one of my main food groups (along with chocolate and cheese). While I love eating a yeasted or sourdough bread with pretty much everything, I was tired of always waiting for it to rise (or ferment). When life gets a little bit crazy, meal planning falls apart and if it’s a couple hours before dinner time and I finally decide what I’m making, it’s a little late to start some bread.

A great example was recently, my oldest child decided to make our Cheddar Potato Soup last minute for dinner, as in, she started it right after she decided to make it, and she made in on the stove, not the slow cooker. I knew the soup would be done in under an hour and there wasn’t a single bit of bread in the house. I was a bit disappointed, as I LOVE eating that soup with bread.

Thankfully, I was recently given a recipe for an easy naan bread. So I decided to whip up a double batch of this naan bread for dinner and it was perfect for the soup! This naan bread has become a staple in our family, especially for those days when I need bread last minute. I’ve even made a batch for breakfast and then saved the leftovers for lunch. We now make it all the time and the kids are always so excited for some!

The best way to eat this naan is as soon as it leaves the griddle to brush it with melted butter. It’s so messy, but so divine! It’s fantastic on its own or being used to scoop up thick dishes like the potato soup or our chicken curry. It can be used as a shell for chicken salad or tacos. There are so many uses for naan!

So I hope you make this recipes! It’s easy, quick (especially if you have a large griddle or a few skillets going at once), and oh, so tasty. Enjoy!
